Laser Cutting Mylar Stencils

Our stencils are made from 3 mil or 4 mil mylar with a low power co2 laser.

There is no frame squeegee or solder paste included. You can find the adhesive i use on amazon by clicking here. At lci we specialize in laser cut mylar stencils. Mylar can be cleaned with most solvents and it can be reused many times for a stencil that will last for years.

I ve experimented with this too and it turns out you can do even stencils for 0 5mm pitch parts. Laser cut mylar stencils. The finest pitch we can handle is approximately 0 5 mm and we strongly recommend that fine pitch stencils be cut from the 3 mil mylar. The stencils are just a piece of thin plastic with a bunch of holes cut in it.

When laser cutting stencils i use a backer board and a dash of repositionable spray adhesive. The adhesive will prevent the detached mylar pieces from being blown around during the cutting process.
